Eligibility: Qualification in Engineering (full time) with 65% marks (normal of all semesters in all years), in six Engineering disciplines of Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical and Mining. (For SC/ST/PWD and Departmental Candidates 55%) .

Selection Process: Competitors who apply for SAIL, will be shortlisted based on their exhibition in the relevant GATE-2019 examination paper and according to the Company's requirement.
Criteria for the imprints for the hopefuls would be in the proportion of 75:10:15 for Written test (GATE-2019), Group Discussion and Interview, in a specific order.
Shortlisted hopefuls would be suggested to show up for Group Discussion and Interview through Careers Page site of SAIL.
From among the individuals who qualify in the GATE-2019 paper, applicants will be shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and Interview in the proportion of 1:12 for each discipline, category wise, in order of merit. In the event that at least two hopefuls are put on a similar cut-off point in the last merit list, the offer letter will be issued to the applicant having higher stamps in the composed test. On the off chance that, there is a tie in the composed test stamps likewise, the hopeful with higher checks in qualification capability (Degree in Engineering) will be chosen.
